The new Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Blue Nuit Limited Edition watch
Boasting a captivating midnight blue colour, the dial of this new Louis Erard Excellence Petit Seconde Blue Nuit watch certainly draws attention towards its spacious and beautifully proportioned display. It also features a small second function at 6 o’clock, enabling the dial to remain uncluttered and straight-to-the-point with a simple two-handed layout featuring the instantly recognisable fir tree hands – a signature design element of the Excellence watch series. There are also the rhodium-coated Arabic numerals to appreciate on this dial, a perfect match for the silver glossy indexes of the small second feature and its anthracite transfers. Satin finished zones add another dimension to the dial of this watch, as do the diamond cut zone for the small second feature. The entire surface of the dial is protected by a domed scratch-resistant and anti-reflective piece of sapphire crystal glass. The same material is also used on the reverse side of the case, where the performance of a Swiss-made movement can be admired. The stainless steel case of the new Excellence watch is 50-meter water-resistant and boasts a new reworked and refined design, with the fire tree crown residing in its usual place of 3 o’clock.
Inside the 39mm case of the new Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Blue Nuit watch is the automatic Sellita SW261-1 calibre. This self-winding movement puts on a performance of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 38 hours once fully wound. It also features a total of 31 jewels and boasts an élaboré grade movement with a special openworked oscillating weight adorned with a Louis Erard symbol in black lacquer.
To complete its ageless look, the new Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Blue Nuit watch secures to the wrist with a polished stainless steel pin buckle attached to a matching midnight blue coloured grained calf leather strap with blue grained calf leather lining. The strap also features functional spring bars that facilitate an easy strap exchange whenever required.
