History of TechnoMarine Watches

First launched in 1997, TechnoMarine watches are known for their playful attitude mixed with strong design. The company believes watches should be cool, fun and user-friendly, and its designs are inspired elements of water.

With the philosophy ‘innovation is the rule, not the exception’, the Swiss watch brand is proud of its ability to design the unexpected. It was the first brand to include diamonds in a diving chronograph, and the TechnoMarine designers are always looking for creative new ideas to add to its vibrant, dynamic range.

TechnoMarine founder Franck Dubarry, a French entrepreneur, was inspired by freedom, pleasure and adventurous spirit. He came up with the idea for his first watch during a boat ride in the Bay of Saint-Tropez, realising that, above all else, it had to be special and unique.

He designed a timepiece with a translucent body and plastic strap, inspired by the sea breeze and the use of new technologies. These first TechnoMarine watches were worn by the founder’s friends while on the beach, aboard yachts and while jet skiing. This successful watch sold 50,000 models in its first year alone.

TechnoMarine watches are both water resistant and sophisticated, making an easy transition from the beach to city life. The TechnoMarine Cruise collection features innovative interchangeable straps and case covers, with a multiple choice of colours or materials – appealing to anyone that likes to change the look of their accessories quickly and easily.
