History of Archimede Watches

Karl Ickler founded his family business in Pforzheim, Germany, in 1924. Pforzheim had already established a worldwide reputation as the centre of the German watch and jewellery business, and ICKLER watch cases soon attracted an international clientele.

The cases of all Archimede watches are created by ICKLER, benefitting from decades of experience in quality manufacturing and creative potential.

The ICKLER family business is now in its third generation and almost everything is developed and manufactured in-house in Pforzheim, including the design, construction, prototypes, parts production, surface finishing and treatment, laser engraving, assembling and quality control.

The wide range of manufacture in Germany is an integral characteristic of Archimede watches and offers a high in-house added value.

The Archimede collection is made up of five different families: Pilot (German aviator watches), DeckWatch (a homage to early navy watches), Klassik (timepieces with a timeless elegance and classic styling), SportTaucher (diving watches) and OutDoor (watches with a focus on performance and reliability). The range includes automatic, hand wound and chronograph versions and feature high quality Swiss movements, all carefully regulated and assembled.
