Seiko

Seiko watches is a synonym of accuracy and precision. The company was established in the Ginza area of Tokyo back in 1881 by Kintaro Hattory. The word Seiko itself means exquisite or success. The company is known for a number of innovations in the world of watch-making. Seiko Quartz Astron was the first commercially released quartz watch, which appeared on the market in 1969. Seiko is responsible for three other important technologies – the spring drive, the kinetic watch and the advanced mechanical watch. Today, Seiko creates both quartz and mechanical watches. One curious fact is that Seiko is the official timekeeper of various sports events including the Olympic Games.
