Up Close with the Breitling Avenger 45 Seawolf UK Limited Edition

The new Breitling Avenger 45 Seawolf watch is limited to just 350 pieces and offers a 300-meter water resistance combined with a legible pilot-inspired dial.

The Breitling Avenger is noted as an instrument for pilots and divers alike. By combing the qualities of both, these timepieces are incredibly robust for plenty of underwater exploration, yet they also offer the legibility and precision of a pilot’s watch, making them particularly popular with pioneers of the sky and ocean. For plenty of professional and keen underwater explorers, that’s a pretty neat feature, but for the rest of us, the Breitling Avenger looks good on the wrist no matter what the task at hand.

An overview of the Breitling Avenger series

The incredibly sturdy Breitling Avenger watch promises an impressive water resistance of 3000 meters. The collection also offers complications such as a GMT and chronograph, as well as useful features like a helium escape valve and rider tabs situated on the bezel.

Picture, for example, needing to turn the bezel whilst wearing a wet dive suit or a pair of thick pilot’s gloves. The four chunky and grip-easy rider tabs make manipulating this feature a complete breeze whether navigating the skies or diving down to dark and daring underwater depths. If you’re a fan of the Breitling Colt or the Breitling Chronomat, you’ll already be familiar with this feature. It also serves to protect the surface of the watch’s sapphire glass front. To enhance the robust qualities of the Breitling Avenger watch, this scratch-resistant domed pane of sapphire crystal glass preserves the surface of the dial and features an anti-reflective treatment applied to both of its sides.

Rooted in classic pilot’s watch credentials, the Breitling Avenger watch has a particularly tidy display that makes extracting vital information from the dial really easy.  Stencilled numerals or applied stick indexes characterize these Breitling watches from the Avenger series. The numerals are executed in a style that is reminiscent of those used to mark hangers and aircraft. The collection offers dials in olive green,  white, blue, black and yellow, all of which boast hour markers and hands that have also been treated with a generous portion of luminous material for assisting with timekeeping during the night or in low-light conditions. You can also choose between stainless steel straps, rubber bands and textile straps when it comes to a Breitling Avenger design to suit your everyday needs. Lastly, Ebauche movements have always provided utmost reliability and precision when it comes to accuracy in a Breitling Avenger watch. These ETA movements have all been tested and certified to COSC standards - the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute.

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf range

Like all collections, the Breitling Avenger has sub-categories.  One of those is the Breitling Avenger Seawolf line. As mentioned, there are many reasons to invest in a Breitling Avenger watch. The models are legible, reliable, robust and have movements that are COSC-certified, not to mention practical rider tabs, a selection of different complications and straps to choose from, and a wide range of dial colours to explore. Avenger Seawolf watches by Breitling are also 3000-meter water resistant and promise great functionality for professional needs. From an original 44mm, the Breitling Avenger Seawolf grew to a broad 45mm and, except for the black Night Mission editions, is mainly made from stainless steel as opposed to the first model made from titanium, which was released back in 2003. To equalize the pressure inside the case, you’ll find a helium escape valve positioned on the side of the case. This prevents the build-up of excess pressure inside the case as helium molecules find their way into the watch’s case when surrounding pressure sinks. With a case depth measuring a thickness of 18.4mm, the black, grey or yellow Breitling Seawolf Avenger watch is a pretty hefty timepiece to own,  making it perfect for getting noticed on the wrist. Breitling selects the Calibre 17 as the beating heart inside the Seawolf watch range, and you also get to choose between. Textile, rubber or a stainless steel bracelet.

The new Breitling Avenger 45 Seawolf UK Limited Edition

The new Avenger 45 Seawolf watch from Breitling for 2022 is once again an extremely bold and shock-resistant instrument. The special grip pattern applied to the surface of the bezel makes measuring elapsed time underwater or in the skies incredibly easy and the watch measures an impressive 3000-meter water resistance. The UK limited edition is exclusive to just 350 pieces available in the country.  If you turn the watch over to reveal its underside, you can see the engraved markings that read “ x of 350” clearly inscribed onto the surface of the titanium. The rest of the case is developed from stainless steel with a domed anti- glare sapphire crystal glass front that protects a stealthy black dial. To match the rich black display, you can choose between a black diver pro band or go sophisticated with a three-row stainless steel bracelet that secures with a folding clasp engraved with the famous Breitling logo.

The dial of the new Breitling Avenger Seawolf UK Limited Edition watch is characterized by stick hour markers in white, coated with a layer of Super-LumiNova. The hour and minute hands too have been treated with the same material, whilst the second hand is depicted by a shot of vibrant red seen in the tip. The 12 o’clock location is marked by an upside-down triangle and at 3 o’clock,  you can read the date clearly against a white background.

The new Breitling Avenger Seawolf Limited Edition watch for 2022 is powered by the ETA 2824. The self-winding movement provides a power reserve of 40 hours and performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. If you’d like to get your hands on one of the 350 Avenger Seawolf UK limited edition watches available, either on a rubber pro diver band or a three-row stainless steel bracelet, you can check out the full spec details of this watch here, or call and speak directly with a member of our sales team here at Jura Watches on 01335 453453
