Meistersinger Launches new Perigraph White Watch for 2023

The new Meistersinger Perigraph for 2023 gets a dressy white glossy dial, yet still retains all its most loved qualities
The Meistersinger Perigraph has been an emblematic member of the German watchmaker’s portfolio for 20 years and has certainly earned its position amongst the brand’s most popular collectables. It upholds the German company’s innovative single-handed approach to timekeeping and has seen its fair share of variations over the years. This singular indication, however, does not limit Meistersinger’s matchmaking expertise to simple time and date-only watches. The Bell Hora and Salthora Meta X are just two key examples of this. That said, the Perigraph is a time and date model and is distinguishable for its brushed and polished steel case with a thin bezel that donates more space to the dial itself. These features alone enable it to stand out against other time and date watches. Last year, the Meistersinger Perigraph received a dose of dramatic colour. Rich black dials were injected with vibrant red and green hues to create an all-new and dynamic spin on the popular watch design. This year, however, Meistersinger draws the design back to a simple model with a white glossy dial and gorgeous gold elements that fit in line with the new N.01 and N.02 models that have been released simultaneously with it.
Dating back to the early tower clocks, sundials and pocket watches - the Meistersinger Perigraph watch tells the time with a single hand, giving the watch and many other popular models from the brand an instantly identifiable style. Now, starring a white dial, the 43mm Perigraph has been transformed to dressier heights especially since the elements on the dial emanate in a rich golden-like hue. The tone of the double-digit hour makers around the hour track is enriched all the more by a crisp black central hand that is needle-like in design. This contrast in gold and black colours is the perfect medicine for the glossy white dial, which becomes a backdrop for an inner date ring.
A single-handed dial with a pointer date hand
Similar to the N.01 and N.03 Meistersinger watches for 2023, the new Meistersinger Perigraph features blue dashes that mark out each of the hourly locations whilst the halfway mark between these is represented by a slightly elongated dash. The Perigraph lettering also features in the southern hemisphere of the dial in a stylized font. The uninterrupted dial with its clear date ring at the centre is incredibly simple to reference whilst on the go, feeding the essential information to the wearer instantly like any three-handed time and date watch would do whilst. Simultaneously the watch promotes a more relaxed approach to timekeeping. A subtle blue triangular pointer is used for the date ring, pointing to the correct day as it moves effortlessly around the display during the month.
The new Meistersinger Perigraph watch for 2023 is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 self-winding movement. This automatic movement performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 38 hours once fully wound. It sits behind a transparent caseback that has been crafted from sapphire crystal glass - the same material that is sealed to the front of the case, with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective properties.
The Perigraph with its new glossy white dial is completed on a cognac leather strap with contrast stitching in white and a polished stainless steel fastening to finish. The buckle is also engraved with the famous Meistersinger logo and the watch comes complete inside an authentic Meistersinger presentation box with full paperwork and a two-year warranty.
