Luminox Unveils Navy SEAL Foundation 3250 Series Watch

If you’re a fan of outdoor watches and you sit firmly within the “affordable luxury watch collector” bracket, you’ll no doubt be very familiar with Luminox the watch brand. You may even own a few Luminox watches. These robust watches for outdoor exploration are incredibly resilient for withstanding harsh circumstances and one of the brand’s most widely known collections is the Navy SEAL line. The origin of the Luminox Navy SEAL watch collection dates back to the early 1990s. The brand began supplying robust wristwatches to the US Navy SEALS and in doing so, collaborated with the naval operations group. Both reliable and legible, Luminox Navy SEAL watches have been popular ever since. What makes the line so special is its use of CARBONOX for the construction of the bezel – a material that is three times lighter than titanium and a whole six times lighter than stainless steel. CARBONOX is also scratch-resistant and shock-resistant and offers ergonomic properties as well as immunity to temperature changes.
Luminox Navy SEAL watches are also developed with self-powered illumination. Luminox Light Technology does not require light energy from an outside source. Instead, these gas-filled tubes illuminate themselves for up to two decades, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As well as an impressive 200-meter water resistance, which makes each Luminox Navy SEAL watch capable of plenty of underwater exploration, they’re also fitted on supple black rubber straps that make for a remarkably comfortable fit on the wrist, not to mention more durable and ergonomic compared to leather bands or stainless steel bracelets.

The year 2022 marks the next-gen of the Luminox Navy SEAL 3250 Series watch. The latest release boasts a beautiful military-inspired sand-coloured dial with bold hour markers and hands as any keen Luminox watch collector would expect. This model comes with two strap options for added versatility. Choose between the black rubber strap option for an afternoon on the beach or the beige nylon strap option for military tasks or for pairing with casual attire at the weekend. Simply switch the straps over with the strap tool supplied within the box. The new Luminox Navy SEAL foundation watch is an instrument for pilots and divers alike and measures a broad diameter of 45mm. Reminding us of the call to duty that every member of the Navy SEALS answers, the new model features a black CARBONOX bezel, whilst the rest of the case is made from stainless steel with a black coating to retain its sleek and military-inspired aesthetics.
The new Luminox Navy SEAL Foundation watch is powered by the quartz RONDA 715 LB395 movement, which sits inside the centre of a 200-meter water-resistant housing. The top of the watch’s case is sealed with a piece of sapphire crystal glass treated with anti-reflective properties. The crown on the case’s 3 o’clock location is shielded with a crown protector and the model’s unidirectional rotating bezel is perfect for measuring elapsed time both in the sky or deep underwater. Designed to rotate only in the counter-clockwise direction, the bezel is fitted with LLT (Luminox Light Technology) and protected by sapphire crystal glass at 12 o’clock.
The sand-coloured dial of this new Luminox Navy SEAL 3250 Series watch features a mix of large crisp black Arabic numerals and dashes to highlight each hour marker. An inner scale features 24-hour markings, whilst the 3 o’clock location shows the date window. Its white numerals are displayed against a black-filled background for enhancing readability.
