The Breitling Jet Team and Breitling Wingwalkers both took part in the Airshow China 2012, where Breitling was Official Timekeeper of the exciting aviation event.
The China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition is the largest airshow in mainland China, and is held every two years. The 2012 event was held in Zhuhai from 13th-18th November, and featured the Breitling Jet Team and Breitling Wingwalkers performing breathtaking displays for the Chinese crowds.
The teams are currently taking part in the 'Breitling Dragon Tour' - a tour of Asia designed to bring the brand's passion for aviation to a new audience. The Airshow China, a highlight of the tour, saw the Breitling Jet Team fly seven L-39C Albatros jets in formation less than 3 metres apart, performing synchronised rolls, loops and crossovers while travelling at speeds up to 435 mph. The Breitling Wingwalkers stood on top of two open cockpit Stearman biplanes to perform an elegant 20-minute routine while enduring speeds of up to 150 mph and force up to 4G.
"It has been our dream to bring the Breitling teams to China, so that the Chinese people can experience firsthand the longstanding relationship between Breitling and aviation," said David Reid, President of Breitling Greater China. "Today, I feel very proud to see this dream come true."
