New sales figures released by designer watch brand Fossil reveal that the firm’s sales in 2011’s first quarter were up 55 per cent and its profits rose by 37 per cent.
In its report Fossil said that sales and profits were mainly boosted by new, innovative designs, more space being allocated for watches in department stores and a general upward trend in the department store fashion watch category.
A spokesperson for Fossil watches said: “We believe our ability to differentiate our products through innovation and the use of new materials, combined with increased focus and clarity in marketing, continue to accelerate consumer purchases of our fashion watch offerings.”
