Since 2006, the Baume & Mercier & Me campaign has featured world-renowned celebrities and personalities as ambassadors for the company. However, he 179 year old Swiss watchmaker has created an innovative and unprecedented relationship with those ambassadors. Brand ambassadors associated with Baume & Mercier & Me donate all of their royalties to charities, including cancer research, helping childhood education, supporting underprivileged women, and reducing poverty with the less fortunate..
Baume & Mercier has a long record of humanitarian support. Their devotion to the needs of others traces back to World War I when, Arthur Baume, son of one of the company’s founders helped London’s French Hospital, serving as Chairman. In 1920, after the war had ended, French President Raymond Poincaré awarded Arthur Baume with the Legion of Honour. Since then, the watchmaker has continued to support many wonderful causes devoted to the welfare of children, medical research, and protecting the environment. The Baume & Mercier & Me campaign continues the philanthropic legacy in modern times.
Mega movie stars, Meg Ryan and Kiefer Sutherland, were the first Baume & Mercier & Me campaign ambassadors. Since then other mega stars have joined the ranks donating their time and energies to the cause: Kim Basinger and Gary Sinise (2007), former Bond Girl and Desperate Housewives actress, Teri Hatcher and Ashton Kutcher (2008).
