Ball Watch Company Trainmaster Moon Phase Watch Review

BALL Watch Company release their Trainmaster Moon Phase series at Baselworld 2015.

The different phases of the Moon has been the centre of fascination for centuries providing guidance through long journey’s and leading to the invention of calendars that are relied upon today. The Moon maintains a regular pattern that has enabled for human beings to form a rhythm to exist in. The fascination has captured the team at BALL Watch Company leading to a timepiece that showcases regular phases of the Moon within a contemporary watch platform. The watch in question is the new Trainmaster Moon Phase.

The Trainmaster Moon Phase contains an automatic BALL RR1801 movement secured by a 40mm polished stainless steel case. The moon phase inspiration sits proudly on the silver, black or blue dial above the centre point at 12 o’clock; an influence that immediately provides an elegant visual appeal. For authenticity, the BALL Watch Company the moon glows with the use of H3 self-luminous micro gas tubes setting the seen beautifully. As the moon is not powered by an external source of light or energy the moon phase is visible on cloudy evenings and storms as are the dial indexes and hands. Silvery stars surround the Moon Phase to allow for the dial to take on the role of the sky. Guilloche patterns shine from the centre of the dial to give the illusion of rays of moonlight.

Joining the BALL Watch Company Trainmaster series, which was originally designed to ensure the safety of trains throughout the golden era of rail. The case back is crafted out of sapphire crystal to expose the movement and adding a touch of elegance to the masterpiece. With a water resistance of up to 50 meters and to be able to withstand force of up to 5,000 Gs the Trainmaster Moon Phase is constructed strongly.

The timepiece is available with a steel bracelet and a brown or black crocodile strap for a sophisticated finish. Choose from a black, blue or silver dial to join BALL Watch Company on their exploration of contemporary and innovative ideas within the watch industry.
