It has been the clockmaker Giambattista Rodella who has influenced timekeeping in Italy in a very special way. As we at MeisterSinger love to pay homage to the old masters of timekeeping, especially when they fit as perfectly with our view of decelerated time-measurement as Rodella does, we have built our own memorial for him. Instead of Arabic numbers, roman numerals are drawn on the dial. A scale on the outer ring shows the minutes exactly. The inner and the middle ring tell the hour.
