Through the perfectly round opening, the 29.5-day lunar cycle is relayed with a silver moon and jet black sky conveying the night and a beautiful blue backdrop and yellow sunshine for the daytime. Behind the moonphase, a curtain of white mother of pearl enchants decorated with sleek rose gold indices, a small date window at 3 o’clock and three slender feuille-shaped hands for hours, minutes and seconds.
The rest of the Rado Coupole Classic Moonphase watch takes its inspiration from the luxury Swiss watch brand’s timepieces from the 1960’s, bringing to life vintage accents like the thin unadorned rose gold PVD bezel, squared lugs and grey alligator leather strap alongside several contemporary innovations. Its most modern novelty is the quartz movement housed within which has been entirely assembled in Switzerland and promises an incredible accuracy of only a few seconds of variation a month.
