History of Hugo Boss Watches

Hugo Boss was founded his company in 1924 making clothes in a small town in Stuttgart where the head office is still situated. During the early years Germany went into economic depression and many companies including Hugo Boss were forced into bankruptcy.

It was in 1984 when Hugo Boss released their first branded fragrance, this pushed the company forward and achieved a listing in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The brand received even greater notoriety when they sponsored Bernhard Langer in major golf tournaments. They brand grew further by sponsoring the world of Tennis and the Davies Cup in 1993, and then Hugo Boss released their first licensed sunglasses that quickly became a world favourite.
