The Bugatti Type 390 is a tale of world firsts! The revolutionary design takes automotive mechanical concepts into the most intricate details of the movement exposed by the skeleton dial; a chance to admire the technical sophistication of the complex creation. Not satisfied with simply adding a car logo to the dial, the team have spent over five years researching and developing ideas to bring the thrill of the supercar to life on the wrist. The beautiful, fluid lines of the Bugatti Chiron inspired the shape of the 18ct white gold or rose gold case. Created by Les Artisans Boiters – a manufacture division at Parmigiani Fleurier - the case is able to pivot 12 degrees around its drive shaft to sit comfortably on the wrist – a stand out design element of the masterpiece.
The Bugatti collection, in particular, demonstrates Parmigiani Fleurier’s fine craftsmanship. Manufacturing every single component at their Watchmaking Hub, the brand offer expert craftsmanship and a willingness to push boundaries. The PF390 movement is the engine of the instrument and has to be the most complex of Parmigiani Fleurier’s calibres. Earning this spectacular title due to its seven layers of 302 components, the brand present a true masterpiece. The tubular caliber sits in a cylinder boasting an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Information is passed to the dial via worm screws and the construction allows for the movement to be removed just like the engine of the sleek supercar.
