The Best Mocha Dial Watches, Chosen by Jura Watches
Saturday - 26 July 2025

Want to join the brown dial club? There are so many mocha, latte, and Chocolate-toned watches to explore you’ll want to taste them all.
We often underestimate the power of a coloured watch dial. In this kaleidoscope of horological competition, where brands go head-to-head daily to create the next new thing, colour often acts as the litmus paper – determining which model will make the most impact and do well on the market. Hues that express a gentle, velvety, warming tone against the wrist do well all year through, not just in the autumn and winter months. To prove my point, I’ve rounded up some of the best mocha-chocolate-latte dial colours to give you an idea of how brands can use this colour in very different ways. The line-up features everything from classic models to sportier tools and (no surprise here) some retro-inspired designs, too!
Often described as Mocha Mousse, the dial colour we’re focusing on here conjures images of frothy lattes, bubbling milky foam, smooth, velvety whipped cream, and twirling espresso shades against sunray displays and textured guilloche techniques. It’s an unusual dial choice and one that wouldn’t usually be the first colour that springs to mind when we read about dial colour trends. Yet, chocolate and coffee dials have garnered considerable attention over the last couple of years, so it only seems natural for us to show you the impact a shade like this can have on the wrist.
The power of the mocha dial has the ability to tell a tale. Take, for example, the Latin heritage of Cuervo y Sobrinos and its cigar-inspired timepieces from its golden years in Havana. Or the patina of an aged bronze watch. Some timepieces can transport the wearer back to an era, while others look towards the contemporary horizons of the watch world, appealing to fans of modern designs. This list of mocha dials offers a mix of both.
Seiko Watch 5 Sports Skeleton Dial SRPJ47K1
The Seiko 5 Sports Skeleton watch is one of the most funky brown dial options on this list. It harkens back to an important design developed by the Japanese brand back in the 1979s – the Time Sonar. The designs from this period resemble a space-age aesthetic, allowing a view of the day and date wheels underneath a transparent dial. Its unique see-through properties create the impression of floating central hands thanks to shadows cast onto the underside layer of the dial. Seiko experts equip this Brown dial watch with a black diver bezel with the first 20 minutes highlighted in a matching mocha colour, as well as a yellow seconds hand for added visual interest to this 43mm stainless steel automatic sports watch.

Longines Watch HydroConquest GMT Brown L3.790.4.66.6
The Longines Hydroconquest collection is not just reserved for dive watches alone, nor is it exclusive to conventional dial colours like the standard black, blue or silver. This model combines the rugged elegance of a solidly built dive watch with a GMT complication, taking you from the beach to your next business flight without a fuss. This 41mm model combines an impressive 300M water-resistant stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel in brown to match the coffee tones of a sunray dial. The golden accents on the hands, hour indexes, and bezel markings of this dive watch elevate the Hydroconquest to an instantly more luxurious role. At the same time, the robust steel three-link bracelet secures comfortably to the wrist with a double security folding clasp, ensuring you won’t lose your daily companion, even in the most action-filled moments.

Nomos Glashutte Watch Club Sport Neomatik 39 Tabac 759
A couple of Septembers ago, Nomos launched the Club Sport Neomatik in shades that paid homage to an Indian Summer. It’s the slightly larger model to the Club Campus and, as you may have guessed, the more sports-focused of the two, with what the brand calls an integrated bracelet. Though not the integrated bracelet we associate with the archetypal steel sports watch, it certainly completes the design of the Club Sport very tastefully.

In this iteration, Nomos selects an Indian Summer-inspired brown shade that will work well with summer attire but lead you into the autumnal and winter months with something incredibly stylish and versatile. The “Tabac” dial – short for tobacco, is galvanised and finished with a sunburst polishing to ensure it picks up every ounce of light through its anti-glare sapphire crystal glass top. Of course, being a Nomos watch, the German brand kits this model out with a Manufacture movement that benefits from an in-house crafted Swing System – a particularly impressive and rare feat for an independent manufacturer, even by today’s standards.
Tissot Watch PRX Powermatic 80 Steel & 18k Gold T9314074129100
Tissot is the king of affordable Swiss luxury timekeeping. A quick glance through its catalogue of classic dress watches and stylish sports watches will tell you that. This PRX watch belongs to a collection known for its elegant yet sporty appeal, featuring a 40mm steel case shaped into a 1970s profile, which gives it an instantly recognisable character. Modern-day PRX watches, like this one, benefit from the Swatch Group’s Powermatic movement, which is capable of producing an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Combine this with those indulgent, chocolatey brown tones on the dial, along with the fluted bezel in a sumptuous rose gold colour, and you have the ultimate two-tone sports watch for under £ 2,000. One particularly appealing feature of the Tissot PRX watch is the H-shaped links of the integrated bracelet, which provide a seamless connection to the lugs and a glove-like fit for the wrist.

Oris Watch Big Crown Pointer Date 01 754 7741 3166-07 5 20 74BR
Behold the beauty of the Big Crown Pointer Date in all its glory, especially since the model has undergone recent changes that have replaced the design of the hands and bezel with a more modern aesthetic. Even though the post-2021 models are just as popular, there is something incredibly alluring about the cathedral hands, and fluted bezel of the original Pointer Date watches from Oris. In this design, they’ve been combined with a stunning 40mm multi-piece bronze case with a stainless steel caseback to prevent tarnishing to the skin. To keep prices down, this brown dial watch is fitted with a Sellita movement, modified to feature the brand’s iconic red rotor watch, which you can admire through a mineral glass exhibition caseback. Meanwhile, the rich coffee-bean tones of the dial are a perfect match for the contrasting red-tipped pointer date hand that makes one complete rotation around the dial every month.

Bremont Watch Supermarine 300M Date Brown Bracelet SM40-DT-BI-BR-B
The Supermarine 300M Bi-Colour watch from Bremont embodies the essence of quintessential British watchmaking, with its design inspired by the principles of aviation. The manufacturer combines stainless steel with 18ct rose gold elements on a brown aluminium bezel to achieve this look. Gold tones continue into the dial itself, with hands and hour markers catching the light in luxurious pink metal hues. The mocha brown gradient dial of this Bremont watch features the new Wayfinder logo at the 12 o’clock position, accompanied by an upside-down arrow marker, a date window at 3 o’clock, and an arrow-tipped seconds hand. Further details continue into the back of the design, where the caseback reveals an engraving of the world’s oceans, along with satin-finished and polished infinity-shaped links on the bracelet that bear a loose resemblance to the iconic Rouleaux bracelet made by Breitling experts.

Bell & Ross Watch BR 05 Auto Copper Brown Rubber BR05A-BR-ST/SRB
Last on the list of this mocha-mousse watch guide is this Bell & Ross watch. The BR 05 series appeals to collectors with a penchant for sportier designs, though the timepieces still feature the famous circle-within-a-square profile. The brand’s experts have chosen a stunning sunray copper dial adorned with decorative screws in all four corners of the steel case and dial elements featuring a generous amount of luminous material on the pill-shaped markers and straight-cut, pencil-shaped hands. The ergonomic design of the BR 05 is easy to wear on a daily basis, especially since the brand opts for a matching brown ribbed rubber strap to complete its look. Additional details include the layers of transparent varnish that this beautiful, golden-brown dial showcases, not to mention a sunburst effect obtained by a circular micro-engraving machine for added depth against what the brand clearly states is a specifically developed colour for this particular reference.
