TAG Heuer Link Automatic Watch Review

With a long history connected to the world of chronographs and accurate timing, TAG Heuer expands their Link collection to introduce a sportier version. Of course, the new additions feature a chronograph to sit alongside TAG’s most accurate inventions that always strive to push the boundaries in the watchmaking industry. With this mind, it has always been a natural progression for the Link collection to include a chronograph version.

The original model was launched over thirty years ago in 1987. 2016 witnessed a revival of the collection to bring to modern audiences. Two years later, the chronograph is unveiled as well as a diamond bezel version with a beautiful mother of pearl dial. Set with 54 diamonds, the breathtaking design is certainly the showstopper of the line up guaranteed to dazzle on the wrist. The Link collection continues to grow since those early days.

The feature that allows for the Link series to stand out is the bracelet design. The immediately recognisable, iconic S-shaped links (hence the collection name) provide comfort to the wearer. Every link is carefully rounded on each side to bring a beautifully smooth and flexible feel when worn. This attention to detail brings a charming elegance to the Link series.

Choose from either a stunning black or blue sunray dial, which focuses on outstanding legibility. Framed by a soft, rounded 41mm case with four subtle corners the design is effortlessly understated. Contrasting beautifully in silver, the three small snailed counters reflect the light providing a feeling of speed. The small second counter at 3 o’clock, the chronograph minute counter at 9 o’clock, and the hour counter at 6 o’clock are elegantly arranged for clarity. To create a more fluid line the stainless steel bracelet is fully integrated into the case with polished and brushed finishes producing an overall sophisticated design.
