Kim Clijsters and Kevin Pietersen Star in New Citizen Watch Adverts

The new Citizen Eco-Drive advertising campaign has been revealed, featuring Kim Clijsters and Kevin Pietersen.

The pair were chosen from the seven-strong group of sports personalities that promote the brand, referred to by Citizen as 'Unstoppable Ambassadors', each chosen for their consistent drive to succeed. Kim Clijsters is a Belgian professional tennis player, and one of only five players to hold #1 world ranking in singles and doubles simultaneously. Kevin Pietersen is a batsman for the England cricket team, and has been referred to as "the most complete batsman in cricket". "Winning's a habit," Pietersen says. "Once you start winning you can keep on winning." 

The new ads feature Clijsters and Pietersen with a tennis racket and cricket bat respectively, promoting a strong image alongside the campaign's slogan, "Be Precise. Be Powerful. Be Unstoppable."

Citizen Eco-Drive watches contain solar panels that use energy from natural and artificial light to power the watch for a lifetime, inspiring the 'unstoppable' theme. The new ads promote the Eco-Drive message with the strapline, "Fuelled by light, any light. A watch that never needs a battery."

Six new Citizen Eco-Drive watches from the Spring Summer 2012 collection are featured in the adverts, which will launch in April.
