A Look at the New Bremont Supermarine 300M GMT Watches
Wednesday - 04 December 2024
Bremont has released the new Supermarine 300M watches for 2024 – a classic combination of dive features and time-zone tracking sophistication.
Combining a dive watch with a travel-focussed complication is nothing new, but Bremont has been going through some drastic restructuring as of late, giving the brand the perfect opportunity to showcase its new identity through these new beautiful gradient models. But how did we get here? Well, the evolution of Bremont’s dive watch and its transition from a water-ready tool to a compact travel-friendly GMT function is a story worth telling and it goes a little like this...

The Evolution of the Bremont Supermarine
The Bremont Supermarine made its debut over a decade ago with the S500 model, complete with a beefy 43mm case. It was big and bold and caught the attention of dive watch enthusiasts far and wide. Then came the Bremont S301, which arrived in 2021, in a more compact package measuring 40mm diameter. The arrival of the Supermarine S302, however, saw a GMT function added, giving collectors a compact, multifunctional sports watch that looked the business. Last year, the S302 was updated. The range now offers several beautiful combinations including a blue metal dial with a blue and green bi-colour bezel that really won over the hearts of anyone slightly sceptical about the new, bold changes. Fast forward to winter 2024 and we now have the new Bremont Supermarine 300M GMT watches - this time on breath-taking gradient dials and captivating gradient bezel designs to match. Need a new GMT diver? The new Bremont Supermarine GMT watches couldn’t have come at a better time. Let’s delve in and discover what makes these new releases so appealing.

The New Bremont Supermarine 300M GMT Watches of 2024
If you hadn’t yet realised that British watchmaker Bremont has been going through some exponential changes at its headquarters this year, you must have been hiding under a rock. Brand CEO Davide Cerrato has been bringing his new vision to the company, refurbing and reimagining many of the brand’s popular core ranges, while organising them into categories of Land, Sea and Air. Lots of brands do this, of course. It certainly makes it easier for the consumer to navigate their way through the range a lot easier. But Bremont’s sports watches have seen some significant changes to their designs and the Supermarine collection is no exception.
The new 300-meter water-resistant GMT watches have been released at the same time as some strikingly stealthy ceramic dive watches - the Supermarine 500M ceramic models. They come in Jungle Green and Tactical Black and feature a ceramic bezel inlay with minute markings in relief, colour-matching dials with Super-LumiNova, and a titanium caseback with a PVD coating to match the bezel. The restructuring of Bremont’s catalogue, however, did raise some concerns amongst connoisseurs at the beginning. But it’s safe to say that we are now witnessing the full extent of these well-executed changes, and the new gradient-effect Supermarine watches are some of my absolute favourite examples of such.
Travelling and Dive Watch Features Combined

The new Bremont Supermarine 300M GMT watches retain all the aesthetical and functional features of the new-age Supermarine watches, save for their entirely new gradient effect dials and bezels. The two new versions feature the same stainless steel case, measuring a compact 40mm diameter, the same case shape and the addition of the colour-contrasting GMT hand, which makes it easy to track another time zone while on the go. Lug to lug, the watches measure a case length of 48mm, which sounds large on paper, but thanks to the sweeping lugs, which dip in, the watches wear smaller than you’d imagine. The symmetrical case shape and the smooth profiles of each of these new watches make them perfect for wearing every day of the week. Bremont specialists also equip these new Supermarine watches with a water resistance of 300 meters for plenty of underwater exploration.
Bremont has shared that the Trip Tick cases and winged logo so synonymous with the brand’s identity are not things of the past. Moreover, they will be incorporated into specific models, mainly those from the aviation category. For the most part, however, the size and shape of the Supermarine case are intact and reminiscent of those of the past. Similar to the recent Supermarine models released this year, the new GMT variants feature slimmer profiles, a screw-down crown stamped with the new Wayfinder logo, and a solid steel back. The Supermarine’s diver bezel has been replaced with a 24-hour scale to be used in combination with the GMT hand on the dial and features a two-tone aluminium insert that matches the gradient effect on the dial.
Dial-wise, there are some differences to appreciate. The new Supermarine 300M GMT watches feature Tundra Green, Glacier Blue and Ember Red shades and feature the inverted arrow-shaped 12 o’clock marker that features in all modern models, including the two recent ceramic 500M watches. The applied dots and trapezoid hour markers are dive-inspired and accompany a date window at 3 o’clock and an orange arrow-tipped GMT hand. It’s clear that Bremont has been listening to feedback from its followers whilst making these changes. The Wayfinder logo, for example, has been downsized to complement the proportions of the case better.
Behind the blue, green and red gradient dials is a movement that has been sourced by Sellita and modified. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 50 hours once fully wound. The three new models come fitted on a fluid multi-link bracelet crafted from 904L stainless steel. The bracelet also features a micro-adjustment feature on the clasp, but you can also enjoy the watch on a rubber band option, complete with a quick-release device. While the Tundra Green will become part of Bremont’s permanent collection, the Glacier Blue and Ember Red variants are limited editions and exclusive to 500 pieces and 200 pieces exclusively (the latter of which is a boutique-only exclusive).
