The Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium watch is now available on a bare titanium or black PVD-coated titanium three link bracelet, giving it an even more military-defined look.

The truth is, it’s quite a hard task deciding which Hamilton watch to select out of the 55 variations available within the Khaki Field collection alone. That’s some broad choice. But the new Khaki Field Titanium watches to join this line-up make the decision process a little easier since they’re so universally appealing. They come with all the features and characteristics one would expect of a field watch, including a legible dial and a comfortable design, plus a little more. The Khaki Field Titanium first appeared on the scene a couple of years ago but was only made available on a NATO strap or a leather strap. Now that changes with more options available, including a bare brushed titanium option or black PVD-coated option, each fitted on a link bracelet. You also get a choice between a blue dial or black dial and a 38mm or 42mm option. Which one will you choose?

A little about the Khaki Field watch collection

The Hamilton Khaki Field collection is largely based on the style of the brand’s military or navigation watches designed for the US and British militaries during the 1940s and 1950s. The models from the range are defined by their double time scale. This involves an Arabic numeral hour track around the outer dial section and an inner 24 hour scale. Combined with luminescent material applied to the crucial elements of the dial, these Khaki Field watches by Hamilton promise superior legibility. One other defining feature of the Khaki Field series is the unique sword-come-syringe shaped central hands, which can easily be read in the dark. From the Hamilton Khaki Field watch range you can choose between automatic and quartz-operated timepieces, as well as options with or without a date function and various different case sizes.

The fact that Hamilton is adding some new options to the titanium category now means that there are more choices to be made by fans of the lightweight deign. Whether you choose to make use of the watch during land-locked activities, for aeronautical ventures or for general day-to-day duties, you’re sure to be able to make use of all the features of the watch, whilst also enjoying its bold and memorable style. Put simply, the no-frills watch is military-inspired and designed for life on the go.

As mentioned, you get to choose between a 38mm and 42mm size for the new Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium watches. The smaller model sits at a height of 11.68mm, whilst the larger model measures a depth of 11.45mm. Each size is offered in a bare titanium finish or a black PVD-coated finish. The black-coated model comes with a matching black dial, giving off a true military-inspired sleekness, whilst the bare titanium option presents the time on a deep blue display. Whilst the different options offer the same specifications, the dial and case finish does drastically transform the look of the tool watch on the wrist. The new watches also come with a knurled crown on the right hand side of the watch at 3 o’clock, as well as a sapphire crystal glass front and caseback. The glass has been treated with layers of anti-reflective treatment to remove any undesirable glare from the dial whilst accessing the time.

The dials of the new Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium have a two time scale design where the Arabic numeral hour markers are shown in the outer recessed section in white between the hours 1 and 12 and the 24-hour scale is displayed on the inner section showing the numbers 13 to 24. The distinct sword-shaped hands are blackened and have been treated with a generous helping of Super-LumiNova to assist with timekeeping at night. These features are framed by an outer scale comprising lume dots denoting five minute intervals.

The new Khaki Field Titanium watches rely on the performance delivered by the H-10 Calibre, a movement adapted from the Swatch Powermatic movement. It features a signed rotor by the brand and produces a useful 80-hour power reserve making it exceptionally weekend-proof. The movement also performs at a rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and features a Nivachron balance for resisting the damaging effects of magnetism. In addition to all this, the movement is known for its stronger mainspring, which guarantees you that long power reserve for occasions away from the wrist.

Both the bare brushed titanium and black PVD-coated titanium three link bracelets give the new Hamilton watches a definitive field watch look. The bracelet design secures to the underside of the wrist with a folding clasp stamped with the Hamilton logo.
