Breitling Bentley Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon Watch Review
Thursday - 20 September 2012
Breitling and Bentley have been partners since 2003, celebrating their common ground of "elegance and expertise". The new addition to the collection is inspired by Woolf Barnato, the most famous of the 'Bentley Boys' that won the Le Mans 24 Hours Race five times between 1924 and 1930.
The Breitling for Bentley Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces. It is almost entirely black in colour, with its 42 mm steel case given a high resistant carbon-based treatment, matching the black ice dial and black rubber strap.
The large bezel and raise knurled motif is inspired by the Bentley radiator grills, and the dial has the appearance of an instrument panel, with chromed steel-rimmed counters, red accents and a tachometric scale on the inner bezel. The hour markers and hands are large and enhanced by a luminescent coating to allow easy reading of the time.
The watch is equipped with Breitling Calibre 41B chronometer-certified movement. It has a cambered sapphire crystal which is glare-proofed on both sides, and offers water resistance to 100 m.
