Ball for BMW Collection Watch Review

Ball Watch Company has revealed a new collection of watches designed in collaboration with BMW.

The Ball for BMW range reflects a shared "quest for perfection, precision and expertise" with designs that pay homage to the "distinctive hallmarks of the BMW vehicles".

Inspired by BMW's suspension system, Ball has developed a patented Amortiser system that protects the watches against extreme shocks, through an exclusive protection ring that envelops the movement. The timepieces also provide perfect dial visibility in darkness, with the use of H3 gas in glass micro-tubes. Light is emitted when the H3 molecules strike the capsules' coloured inner surface, and can last for more than 20 years without recharge from an outside light source. It is 100 times brighter than other light sources commonly used in watchmaking.
The collection Ball includes three models: Classic, GMT and Power Reserve. Each watch is officially certified COSC chronometer and is identified by a serial number engraved on its movement.
Ball for BMW Classic

The Ball for BMW Classic is powered by automatic calibre ETA 2892-A2 movement. It has a 40 mm stainless steel case with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and screwed-in crown. The dial is available in black, blue, grey or silver, and features 12 micro gas tubes on the dial and hour and minute hands. The watch is anti-magnetic to 4,800A/m and water resistant to 50 m. The Classic timepiece comes with a tapered stainless steel bracelet or crocodile leather strap with folding buckle.
Ball for BMW GMT

The Ball for BMW GMT watch includes a second time zone indication. It is available with a black or silver dial, with a choice of tapered stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap or crocodile leather strap with folding buckle. Movement is automatic calibre ETA 2893-2. The case measures 42 mm and is available in stainless steel or DLC. It has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screwed-in crown and 13 micro gas tubes on the dial and hour and minute hands. The watch is anti-magnetic to 4,800A/m and water resistant to 100 m.
Ball for BMW Power Reserve

The Ball for BMW Power Reserve features a power reserve indication on the dial, and is equipped with automatic calibre ETA 2897 movement. The case is available in stainless steel, DLC or gold and measures 42 mm. The timepiece features 10 micro gas tubes on the dial, hour and minute hands, and offers water resistance to 100 m and magnetic resistance to 4,800A/m. The dial is available in black or silver; or black and grey for the gold case. It comes with a tapered stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap or crocodile leather strap with folding buckle. Additional features include anti-reflective sapphire crystal and screwed-in crown.
