Breitling Galactic 44 Watch Review

A new larger size watch has been added to the sporty Breitling Galactic collection, featuring a 44 mm case diameter.
The Breitling Galactic is a "versatile and sophisticated model" designed for people that do necessarily need their watch to have a chronograph function, but still value accuracy, durability and reliability. This is the first 44 mm timepiece in the collection, joining a 41 mm self-winding model and two 32 and 36 mm ladies' watches.
The new Breitling Galactic 44 has a unidirectional satin-brushed bezel with black rubber-inlaid hour markers, and the hands and hour markers feature a luminescent coating for excellent readability. The dial, which is available in black, blue or silver, features day and date apertures at 12 and 3 o'clock respectively, as well as a compass scale and a graduated scale with 1/100th of an hour divisions on the inner bezel.
The case is in polished steel with a sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides. It is water resistant to 200 metres and features a screw-lock crown protected by reinforcements.
The Breitling Galactic 44 is equipped with a self-winding movement, chronometer certified by the COSC. It comes with a steel bracelet, or a strap in leather, rubber or military-type fabric.
