Maurice Lacroix will present its new Pontos S Supercharged at Baselworld 2014.
"This is a cool timepiece, a street-racer, made for those who seek performance in all aspects of their lives," the brand says.
The watch has a brushed and polished stainless steel case, and red detailing on the dial and strap. An alternative version is also available with a stainless steel anthracite PVD case and yellow detailing.
Both models have a large 48 mm case diameter, and a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The bezel and crown have a knurled finish.
The dial is black, and the hands are diamond-cut and luminous. The patented 'Elapsed Time Controller', an inner rotation bezel, is adjusted using the crown at 2 o'clock. There is a small seconds display at 9 o'clock, and a date window at 3 o'clock. The chronograph function includes a central stop-watch seconds hand, a 30-minute register and a 12-hour counter.
The Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Supercharged is powered by the automatic ML140 movement with 46 hours power reserve. The movement measures 37.32 mm, and is rhodium plated with circular graining and Côtes de Genève decoration. "In some instances using a small movement within a large case results in dial details appearing too close to each other," the brand explains. "Selecting a large movement for the Supercharged has ensured an optimum layout for the dial display."
The Pontos S Supercharged comes with a laser-decorated calf leather strap, with rubberised leather parts and red or yellow stitching.
