This stunning limited edition Longines Heritage Military 1938 watch brings back to life an “Officer’s watch from the late 1930’s worn by soldiers during World War II. Its design ensured reliability, accuracy and legibility on the battlefield and many of the original hallmark elements have been passed over to the new re-edition including the classic subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o clock, large legible numerals and a smooth black dial.

Continuing to do its precursor justice, the Longines Heritage Military 1938 Limited Edition comes presented in a stunning polished stainless steel case measuring to 43mm in size with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass and a ‘sea urchin’ shaped crown. The case is fitted with short but perfectly shaped lugs that allow the grey-toned vintage inspired leather strap to sit comfortably on the wrist secured by a classic steel pin buckle. Housed within the case is manual winding L507 calibre which promises a frequency of 21'600 vibrations per hour and is equipped with 17 jewels. The movement also provides classic central hands for hour and minutes, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o clock and a power reserve of 53 hours. Each of the functions are displayed on a striking black matte dial decorated with painted Arabic numerals and silvered polished hands coated in Swiss Superluminova in a vintage lume colour.
