MJ271 was the original call sign of the Silver Spitfire during its time of service. In the project Silver Spitfire The Longest Flight, this airplane will be the first Spitfire ever to circumnavigate the globe in 2019. The bronze case, olive green dial and brown calfskin strap combine to lend the timepiece a character of its own. Depending on the use to which it is put, bronze develops a patina in the course of time and darkens in colour, giving the Pilots Watch UTC Spitfire Edition MJ271 its own unmistakable character.
