The first Baume creation since the brand was officially welcomed into the Baume et Mercier family, the Baume Ocean Limited Edition has been designed in collaboration with Waste Free Oceans (WFO) and SEAQUAL, two partners that collect plastic debris from the seas to transform them into innovative products. With the Baume Ocean Automatic watch, the three allies make a commitment to an eco-responsible approach by engineering the case almost entirely out of recycled plastic and the rest from robust and lightweight fibre glass. Even the strap of the Baume et Mercier limited edition embodies their mission for world conservation crafted from woven RPET and lined with natural black cork.

The recycled case of the Baume Watch Ocean Automatic Green Limited Edition measures to 42 millimetres in diameter and conforms neatly to the skin at only 10.2 millimetres thick. Alongside a polished finish, it delivers the characteristic Baume crown at 12 o’clock reminiscent of the classic stylings of pocket watches with a water resistant rating of 30 metres. Through a sapphire crystal case back, you can witness the Swiss made Sellita SW200 automatic winding calibre which powers the hours, minutes, seconds and date complications on the anthracite dial. The dial of the Baume Ocean Limited Edition is detailed with green hands at the centre to pair with the green coloured bezel ring, a white minutes scale around the circumference and a 12 hour scale at the centre. Slim, minimalistic lugs keep the recycled plastic grey strap secure to the wrist beside a classic polished pin buckle. 5% of every sale of the Baume et Mercier Baume Ocean Limited Edition will go to the Waste Free Oceans initiative.
