Unveiling the Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Green Limited Edition

The new Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Green watch is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide and showcases the tried and tested BR CAL.322 through a stunning olive green-tinted sapphire crystal dial plate.
The emblematic square-shaped case of the BR 01 and BR 03 watch with a circular bezel has become an instantly recognisable look for Bell & Ross, especially over recent years. The Paris-based manufacturer has also become known for evolving this unique military-inspired instrument design into a more urban look, known as the BR 05. The first Bell & Ross BR 05 watch was released back in 2019 and features a sporty aesthetic with an integrated steel bracelet. The next chapter of this line is the new Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Green watch, limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
Amongst the popular BR 05 watch collection is a chronograph variation, a travel-friendly GMT watch, and a simple time and date iteration. Since its initial launch the BR 05 watch has also been offered up in a silver variation and with a blue-coloured sapphire dial plate. The gold BR 05 offered something much more luxury-focused, whilst the Night Lum BR 05 version was ideal for operating during the night.
A well-rounded all-rounder that isn’t round
Whether you’re operating flight controls or simply heading off to a meeting, the BR 05 Skeleton Green Limited Edition watch makes for a great choice in design and here’s why. Having painstakingly cut out materials to create a layered look across the dial, Bell & Ross specialists can expose the inner workings of the automatic movement used to power this Bell & Ross watch through a design that has received an eye-catching twist. The indexes upon the surface of this open-worked dial are legible and crisp and sit on top of a beautiful green-tinted sapphire crystal glass material. The green-coloured dial plate not only lends an intriguing insight into the beautiful movement lying within but also points to a distinct military-inspired feel.
The new Bell & Ros BR 05 Skeleton Green Limited Edition watch merges many classic elements of the brand’s instrument panel-inspired watch collections with the sporty integrated design of the BR 05. Its diameter measures 40mm and the height of the case sits at a thickness of 10.33mm. Its polished bevels add contrasting finishes to a mostly brushed effect design. The stainless steel case is also integrated with 100-meter water-resistant capabilities and to help uphold these, Bell & Ross equips the BR 05 Skeleton Green watch with a screw-down crown at 3 o’clock and a screwed caseback.
Differing from last time when we saw the movement of the Bell & Ross BR 05 watch exposed through a blue-tinted sapphire crystal glass, the new Skeleton Green watch, as its name suggests, features a sapphire plate that replaces the dial. The sapphire plate has been tinted with an olive green hue. To enhance this new and intriguing colour, the dial is brought together by a sloping inner flange in a matte finish. The stick-style central hour and minute hands are treated in white Super-LumiNova that assists with effortless timekeeping during the night, as are the pill-shaped hour markers.
Inside the robust steel casing of the new Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Green watch and visible through both sides is the automatic Calibre BR-CAL. 322. The self-winding mechanism is based on the architecture of the Sellita SW300-1 and offers a 38-hour power reserve as well as a performance of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The open-worked bridges of the movement are a unique hallmark of Bell & Ross’ manufacture, whilst other elements put on show have been executed in monochromatic and matte finishes. The movement is finished with a 360-degree open-worked rotor.
The new Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Green Limited Edition watch is available in two options; one with a green rubber strap with a vertical striped texture and a steel three-fold clasp, the other on an integrated stainless steel bracelet that secures to the wrist with a B&R-engraved three-fold clasp.
