The three Hydroscaph series undergo intense testing to monitor traction, shock, visibility, magnetism, water-tightness and resistance to seawater and corrosion; tests that are miles above the standard regulations.
The Hydroscaph Cases
Constructed in a complex and certainly intricate method, the Hydroscaph case is prepared for the adventurer guaranteed to perform under the spotlight. Designed alongside an experienced team of underwater exploration professionals, the case is unique with 81 - 103 individually machined parts. The gruelling tests ensure that the impressive case can withstand 500 to 800 meters underwater.
Visually, the large case is distinctive and easily identifiable due to the iconic rotating bezel that leaps from the watch face. Each feature built into the case serves to offer exceptional reliability to professional divers and protection from impact.
The Hydroscaph Dial
Peering through the glare-proofed 4mm sapphire crystal, the Hydroscaph dial brings a strong character and adds to the technicality of the watch. The immediate impact is powerful ensuring maximum legibility and readability. The strength is formed by the three-dimensional numerals and hour markers, which carry an assertiveness. For added legibility in restricted lighting the hands and indices are coated in Superluminova.
The Hydroscaph Movements
Passing with flying colours, the Clerc Calibre C609 became a COSC-certified chronometer after extensive tests by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. The Clerc models are of the utmost precision and reliability. Offering the integral functions of a timepiece the hours, minutes, seconds and 42-hour power reserve guarantees the essentials are well and truly covered. To complete the intricate movement the finishing is to a high standard; finishes that have become a signature style of Clerc movements.
