Sinn MunichTime 2016 Watch Review
Friday - 28 October 2016
Today marks the beginning of Munichtime 2016 - a timepiece exhibition that showcases the latest innovation from the watchmaking industry. Sinn plans to unveil a trio of new instruments in the beautiful location - The Bayerischer Hof - a series of elegant rooms dedicated to revealing stunning designs. Without having to travel to the Bavarian capital, the newest Sinn novelties are launched online at Jura Watches. Lets find out a little more about the captivating beauties.
Sinn 212 KSK
KSK is a special forces command standing for the Kommando Spezialkrafte. This year marks their 20th anniversary leading to a collaboration with Sinn. The result is delivered in the form of a special limited edition watch of 70 pieces for the KSK members; a special forces military unit that rescue and evacuate Germand citizens from crisis situations - to name a key operation.
A version of the anniversary watch is also available to reach a wider audience, which proudly wears the KSK emblem on the dial - a commando sword surrounded by oak leaves. Framed by a robust German Submarine Steel case the device can easily withstand pressure resistance; a feature necessary for the military reference. The second time zone nods to their global operations and the unconventional 64-mil ratcheting is a tribute to the German army compass aiding orientation on field missions.
Sinn U1 S
Sinn revisits a familiar diving watch adding a new design to the U1 family. The U1 S welcomes an all over Black Hard Coating on a tegimented basis - a design decision that demands attention. Both the case and crown are manufactured using high-strength German Submarine Steel providing extreme seawater resistance; a requirement vital to a divers watch. The U1 S is a reliable instrument for delving deep underwater with the secure diver’s bezel, high level of non-magnetic properties and an ability to withstand pressure resistance.
The U1 S is launched in a white and red colour combination for a bold interpretation, which leaps from the wrist. For a more subtle direction, the U1 S E is introduced with ivory indices and hands against the matte black dial.
Sinn 6200 WG Meisterbund I
An exquisite piece that follows in the footsteps of the rose gold 6200 Meisterbund I - an incredible masterpiece that welcomed huge success and recognition surpassing many milestones. Together they mark Sinn’s 55th anniversary - a special year for the watch brand. Three ‘masters of their trade” have worked together to create such an extraordinary piece. Sachsische Uhrentechnologie GmbH (SUG) is responsible for the 18-carat white gold with the MEISTERBUND engraving; Sinn Spezialuhren designs the beautifully traditional dial and Uhren-Werke-Dresden skilfully crafts the high quality hand-wound calibre.
