Parmigiani Fleurier's sartorial approach to watchmaking with the release of the Tonda PF watch collection a few years ago proved to be a very good one. Each design from the line is a unique recipe incorporating a blend of textures, forms and details. Tonda PF watches from Parmigiani Fleurier focus on fluidity, whilst their proportions are carefully balanced to promise legibility and practical comfort in an easy-to-manage size. The new Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 36 Rose Gold watch, new for 2022, offers a 100-meter water-resistant case crafted completely from 18ct rose gold. Its teardrop-shaped lugs pair nicely with a hand-knurled bezel and an easy-grip screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, stamped with the Parmigiani Fleurier logo. Other distinct features of the design include the oblong-shaped brand logo at 3 o’clock, crafted from gold. Whereas the white gold and rhodium-coated hour markers seen on the steel model with a warm grey dial are paired with scintillating diamonds - the rose gold version features rectangular-shaped hour markers with the same baguette-cut diamonds but this time, set against a captivating Deep Ruby dial. As with other models from the Tonda PF line, this rose gold Tonda PF 36 watch features a beautifully detailed Grain d’Orge dial effect, also known as the barleycorn hand-guilloché pattern. This display is married well with delta-shaped hands that are open-worked with no other detail featured across the display. This minimalist approach to timekeeping is what Parmigiani Fleurier refers to as “sartorial” approach.

Inside the new Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF 36 Rose Gold watch is a new automatic calibre that goes by the name of the PF770. It relies on a 22k gold skeletonised rotor and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Once fully wound it can offer a power reserve of 60 hours and comprises a total of 179 parts. Through a caseback crafted from scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, the movement’s Cotes de Geneve decoration, bevelled edges and sandblasted rotor can all be admired.
