Just Landed: The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Diamond Twist Collection

Seiko has released some additional timepieces to join its Cocktail Time watch range. These Presage Cocktail Time Diamond Twist watches for women come in dial colours and elements inspired by four unique cocktails designed by Star Bar’s leading bartender, Hisashi Kishi and build upon the cocktail-inspired platform that many Seiko Presage watches share.

At the Star Bar in Ginza, Hisashi Kishi – the first Japanese to win the International Bartenders’ Association World Cocktail Championships – serves as an advisor to Seiko in the development of the Cocktail Time range and, of course, the evolution of its popular Presage watch collection. The Seiko Presage series radiates a sense of glamour and sophistication and has been a playground for some of the Japanese watchmaker’s most elegant and enduring designs to date. Some models from the series evoke the Skydiving cocktail with an ice-blue face, whilst others inspired by the Manhattan cocktail boast brown graduating dials that play beautifully with the light.

The latest Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watches for women

Following on from the Seiko Presage ‘Illuminate’ Cocktail Time SSA455J1 with a rippled light gold dial inspired by the surface of the drink and the Seiko Presage ‘Red Brick’ Cocktail Time SSA457J1 with a deep red skeletonised dial inspired by the tasty tipple, Seiko has released four new timepieces to join this popular line. The petite and compact timepieces crafted from stainless steel are inspired by Tokyo’s Ginza cocktail region and are based on drinks designed by Star Bar’s talented head bartender, Hisashi Kishi. The dials of these four new Seiko Presage watches for women are designed to reflect the light and boast an intricate wave-effect dial pattern.

First up is the new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Clover Club’ Diamond Twist – a watch that combines modernity with tradition in equal measures, offering a set of rose gold-coloured sword-shaped hands and shard-like indexes laid upon a white textured dial. The applied elements evoke the raspberry flavour of the “Clover Club” cocktail, with eight diamonds that glisten majestically under the light. True to form, the Seiko Presage watch for women is both practical and luxurious, featuring a date window at 3 o’clock in a matching rose gold-coloured trim and a robust stainless steel bracelet that secures to the wrist with a folding clasp engraved with the Seiko name.

The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Skydiving’ Diamond Twist SRE007J1 is, as you would have already guessed, inspired by the “Skydiving” cocktail. The watch is powered in the same way as the other three accompanying models, by the new in-house designed Calibre 2R05 which promises a power reserve of 41 hours. The Seiko Presage “Skydiving” watch also shares the same case diameter as its siblings, measuring in at a diameter of 30.28mm and remaining discreet enough to be paired with office attire at will. Eight diamonds are once again set across the dial of this blue textured dial. The interplay between the scintillating diamonds and captivating blue nuances of this model make it an extra special timepiece to wear when wanting to add a subtle touch of colour to any outfit.

The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘White Lady’ Diamond Twist SRE010J1 is a great option if you’re looking for an affordable dress watch to pair with elegant attire since it features a stunning bi-colour bracelet with stainless steel and yellow gold PVD coated links that bring a touch of glamour and opulence to the forefront of any outfit. With the same case proportions and the same reliability promised by the Calibre 2R05, the model inspired by Star Bar’s “White Lady” cocktail, featuring a stunning yellow gold-coloured bezel, is brought to life by a set of diamond indexes once again, protected by a boxed shape Hardlex front.

Last but not least is the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Pink Lady’ Diamond Twist SRE012J1. It looks ultra-feminine whether worn with formal attire or a casual pair of jeans. Its subtle pink dial hues are once again enhanced by a textured ripple-like pattern and enriched with rose gold-coloured hour markers and hands. The diamonds sitting above each hour marker are a nice finishing touch to the design, whilst the tone of the dial has been chosen by Seiko experts to evoke the colour of the cocktail itself. This Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watch is finished on a five-link stainless steel bracelet with links executed in a mix of brushed and polished finishes to add another level of depth and detail to the design.
