Ernie Els Joins Breitling Watch

Breitling has announced its new partnership with professional golfer Ernie Els. A special limited edition Breitling Chronomat 44 will be created to raise money for Els' autism charity.
Ernie Els won four Major Championships, two World Golf Championships and a record seven World Matchplay titles during his career, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2011. The partnership with Breitling will see Els make appearances and participate in events on behalf of the brand.
"I've always had a passion for watches," said Els. "Breitling is an iconic brand I've long admired. They create beautifully crafted and precise timepieces I know I'm going to enjoy wearing. With my love of flying and Breitling's affinity and connection with the history of aviation, this feels like the perfect partnership, one of genuine shared values. Els has set up several charitable organisations, including the Els for Autism Foundation which was established in 2009 to help young people and families on the autism spectrum.
A limited edition Breitling Chronomat 44 will be launched in April 2013 to mark Autism Awareness month, with a percentage of the proceeds from each watch donated to the charity. The Els for Autism Foundation logo will be etched on the case back.

The Breitling Chronomat 44 is equipped with Breitling 01 self-winding mechanical movement, with a power reserve of 70 hours. The watch has a 44 mm case, cambered sapphire crystal that is glare-proofed on both sides, and is water resistant to 500 metres.
