Breitling Watches Sponsors 10th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards

Breitling supported the 10th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards, considered to be the most prestigious recognition event of aviation.
The Living Legends of Aviation Award ceremony was held on 18th January 2013 at the Beverly Hilton in California, and was hosted by Breitling brand ambassador John Travolta. The evening celebrated a decade of recognition during aviation's second hundred years, and benefitted the Kiddy Hawk Foundation - an organisation that introduces children to flight at a young age.

Eight new 'living legends' were acknowledged at the event, joining the list of aviation entrepreneurs, innovators, record breakers, industry leaders, astronauts and celebrity pilots deemed to have made significant contributions in aviation.
Travolta presented a Breitling Navitimer 01 timepiece to Stacey Elsner, Director of the Kiddy Hawk Foundation, and another to James Albaugh, recipient of the Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award for his contributions to the Boeing Aircraft Company.
The Breitling Navitimer is known as the favourite watch of pilots and aviation enthusiasts. The Navitimer 01 is equipped with Breitling Caliber 01 - a high-performance self-winding chronograph movement, entirely developed and produced in the Breitling workshops. It has a 43 mm steel case and bidirectional bezel with slide rule. Additional features include a cambered sapphire crystal that is glareproofed on both sides, and a screwed-in case back. It offers water resistance to 3 bars.
