Jorg Gray Watch Ambassador Clint Dempsey Named US Soccer Athlete of the Year

Jorg Gray brand ambassador Clint Dempsey has been named '2012 Male Athlete of the Year' in the US Soccer Athlete of the Year awards, for his contribution to the United States national football team.
The US Soccer Athlete of the Year award is the highest honour awarded to football players in the United States. The winners are chosen by a voting system - 50% by fans online, and 50% by members of the national media and US Soccer representatives, including national team coaches and members of the US Soccer Board of Directors.
This is the third time Dempsey has won the award, with previous wins in 2007 and 2011, and he is only the second player to have received the award in two consecutive years. In 2012, Dempsey scored six goals for the United States national team, as well as leaving Fulham FC as the club's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League.

A special Jorg Gray watch was designed in collaboration with Dempsey and released shortly after his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur FC. The 1,000-piece limited edition has a layered dial featuring Dempsey's signature and his nickname. The case back features an embossed football along with the limited edition number.
