Bremont SOLO Collection Watch Review

Bremont is extending its SOLO collection with a new 43 mm white dial model, as well as launching the SOLO-37, a smaller version of the watch with a 37 mm case.
The Bremont SOLO range, first launched in 2011, is inspired by the pilot's watches of the 1940s. Alongside the original black dial models, a new white dial SOLO will now be made available. Bremont describes the watch as "a beautifully classic design with subtle attention to detail" and says it is "an obvious choice for anyone interested in the allure of mechanical watches, especially when one considers its technical specifications."
A 37 mm SOLO has also been added to the collection. "Smaller than anything Bremont has previously produced, this mechanical chronometer appeals to those who wish to wear something slightly lighter on the wrist," the brand says. "And with various finishes to the case available the SOLO-37 may have particular appeal to women."
The Bremont SOLO-37 is available with a white dial in stainless steel or 18k rose gold top bezel, with applied silver or rose gold coloured indexes. A black dial SOLO-37 with white indexes will also be made available.

Each watch in the SOLO range has a Trip-Trick case hardened to over 2000 Vickers, making it seven times more scratch resistant than normal watch grade steel. The SOLO is powered by modified BE-36AE movement, has an exhibition case back, and a domed sapphire crystal with nine layers of hardened anti-reflective coating on each side. It is water resistant to 100 metres.
