Graham Watch Partners with Baja 1000 Race

Graham has announced an exclusive partnership with the Baja 1000 off-road race in Mexico.
The Tecate Score Baja 1000 is an annual desert race held on the Baja California Peninsula. A variety of different vehicles, including motorcycles, cars and trucks, each complete the same 1,000-mile course that is said to be "more than a race; it's an adventure". The legendary event attracts 300 entries from over 30 US states and 15 countries, and is watched by 200,000 spectators.
The 2012 race marks the 45th anniversary of the Baja 1000, and will take place from November 14th-17th. A special edition Graham watch will be launched to mark the occasion, and will be presented to the winner of the race as part of their prize. Official pictures of the Baja 1000 watch have not yet been released, but the design will be a variation of the Graham Chronofighter Oversize collection.

To prepare for the race, all participants took part in a pre-running session from 22nd-25th September. In collaboration with Score International, Graham invited an international group of journalists to attend the session, allowing them to "follow the footsteps - or more accurately, the tire marks of thousands of racers". The guests were able to board current racers' pre-runner vehicles for a firsthand experience of the unique desert race.
