Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Chronograph Watch Review

Oris proudly announces the arrival of the chronograph edition of the Aquis Depth Gauge Chronograph; an iconic diver’s watch admired by watch enthusiasts and professional divers alike.

The iconic diver’s watch firmly stands amongst Oris’ innovative timepiece collection praised for their ability to design masterpieces that relate to the everyday life of the wearer. The newest edition follows this philosophy that has been at the core of the luxury brand throughout the 111 history.

The newly released timepiece mirrors the spectacular Aquis Depth Gauge with pride after earning the international title of “one of the most innovative diving watches ever made when it was launched in 2013.” Cleverly the instrument enabled for a depth gauge to be present in a mechanical watch without ignoring Oris’ mission to design reasonably priced watches for real individuals.

An Oris automatic calibre 774 powers the chronograph function and the date window situated at 6 o’clock. For guaranteed strength the robust 48 mm stainless steel case protects the tough sapphire crystal glass, which measures at 4 mm thick; an impressive size in comparison to an average top glass. A crown-protection system protects the screw-in crown from accidental knocks, which is likely in everyday situations and in extreme diving circumstances. To ensure readability underwater even at 500M the powerful black dial is a platform for the applied indices and strong nickel hands filled with white Super-LumiNova.

The stunningly practical watch is fitted with a black rubber strap and Oris’ unique quick adjustment sliding-sledge folding clasp system. The fastening allows for the wearer to easily adjust the strap without removing the watch. The clever Oris-developed safety anchor guarantees that the timepiece does not fall off when undone; a reassuring feature when diving to deep levels.

Embrace the Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Chronograph to experience an instrument designed specifically for life underwater.
