NOMOS Glashutte Watch Metro Wins the Green Product Award

Nomos Glashutte are pleased to announce that their exquisite Metro model has been awarded the Green Product Award (GPA); a title that the luxury watch brand receive with honour and pride. 

The award celebrates products that are able to fuse innovative design and technical advancement with a sustainable manufacturing process, which the Nomos Glashutte Metro has effortlessly achieved. The judges that decide the fate of the GPA praised the Metro’s clean aesthetic and durability earning a well deserved place in the “Lifestyle” category of the event. The timepiece has proven to be an investment piece that will last an eternity without compromising on the elegant, contemporary design. The journey to reach such an integral point in the Nomos Glashutte career began in 2013 when the brand became recognised as an Okoprofit company, which honours their environmental responsibility. Nomos Glashutte's approach ensures that the producing and assembling of the watches is 95% carried out in-house and on-site in a high standard environment.

The brands impulse to opt for a sustainable future was recognised by experts from Daimler and the Institute for Ecological Economic Advancement who sat amongst the jury from 400 companies and 21 countries. Their loyal duty is to choose the “Green Selection” of 100 of the best candidates and then leave the result to the public. NOMOS Glashutte has successfully created a sustainable, green product without compromising on imagination and invention. The Metro is the first piece to house the NOMOS swing system (NOMOS’ in-house escapement) in a beautiful design.
