Ball Watch Company Engineer Master II Sportsman Ducks Unlimited Watch Review
Friday - 05 June 2015
Ball Watch Company celebrates the birth year of Ducks Unlimited with a Limited Edition Sportsman timepiece.
Ducks Unlimited (DU) is described as “an international nonprofit organisation dedicated to the conservation wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife, and people.” The DU markings are stamped on the case back to commemorate the birth of the organisation with the launch of the timepiece. A 3D inscription of the famous “flying mallard” duck sits proudly as does the logo positioned on the dial at 6 o’clock. The masterpiece leaves the American railroads behind to guide the world explorers and Protectors of the wetlands monitor time. The Ball Watch Company Engineer Master II Sportsman Ducks Unlimited Limited Edition is specifically engineered to survive cold weather, resistant to both water and moisture and patience in hours of darkness in the early morning hours; the perfect companion for those associated with Ducks Unlimited. The striking instrument endures the tough conditions with the upmost accuracy and cased in a robust, masculine aesthetic.
The automatic watch is fitted with self-powered micro gas lights attached to the strong hands and dual baton shaped indices, which allows for the dial to radiate light for up to 25 years. Equipped with a Super-LumiNova sunrise/sunset indicator with internal bezel viewed through the sapphire crystal glass, a high performance military grade water resistant nylon strap and a titanium casing that resists excessive shock vibrations of up to 5,000Gs allows for the instrument to be the perfect candidate whilst hunting.
DU director of corporate relations, Jeremy Smith states: “We are very proud to have Ball Watch join our Corporate Partner program. Much like DU, Ball Watch Company has a rich heritage and unique beginning. They recognise the conversation impact DU has been able to achieve and the importance of our volunteers and supporters to the organisation’s success.”
CEO for Ball Watch Company, USA explains: “Growing up in Central Illinois, my friends and family were always keenly aware of Ducks Unlimited’s wetlands conservation program. As a young and avid hunter who veered off into the world of fine timepieces, I jumped at the chance to be involved in the manufacture of a luxury watch that would not only withstand the rigours that a hunter puts on a timepiece but, more importantly, help the cause of conserving wetlands.”
