Victorninox Swiss Army I.N.O.X Limited Edition Watch Review
Monday - 01 June 2015
Victorinox Swiss Army produce a warrior that draws inspiration from the Christopher Raeburn 2011 “REMADE IN SWITZERLAND” fashion collection.
The truly unique I.N.O.X timepiece that is manufactured to a limitation of 250 wears a brown leather uniform originating from Swiss Army military bags from 1911 to 1970. The beautiful vegetable-tanned leather is recognised by collectors for it’s extremely high quality and resistance despite its maturity. As each piece is carefully cut from a different bag or cartridge belt the masterpieces adopt their own personality via a personal shade and patina; no two timepieces are the same due to the recycled nature of the materials that have battled and won. Yet the varying degrees of brown colouring compliments the khaki green dial with white baton indices and chiseled hands perfectly.
The robust model is designed to withstand the toughest conditions with extraordinary resilience. It’s leather coat of armour serves to protect in extreme circumstances where rivals may possibly fail. To ensure that the timepiece performs fearlessly and honourably in punishing situations the incredible device survived 130 extreme tests; an amazing achievement for the Victorinox Swiss Army watch. The collaboration has designed a contemporary edition that is executed to an exquisite standard; an investment that will endure a lifetime.
Christopher Raeburn states: “I’m very proud that my work with the Victorninox Swiss Army operates within the Swiss watchmaking industry is really interesting in terms of quality and added value. They have received something incredible with I.N.O.X watch, which can withstand a series of 130 punishing tests. We’re talking about something that is very modern, very well made and designed to last. It’s a perfect fir with the concept of recycling that’s intrinsic to Remade. I’m truly thrilled with this launch.”
