Victorinox Swiss Army Chrono Classic Watch Review
Monday - 20 April 2015
Victorinox Swiss Army watches is a fairly new brand to join Jura Watches, which sits proudly amongst our careful edit of brands. The Chrono Classic collection successfully captures the character of the watch label effortlessly; an infusion of tradition, functionality and design.
The unique design demands attention with a classic outlook that welcomes a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The chronograph is concise and accurate for ultimate precision with the ability to track every tenth of a second. The top two counters are looped together to form an unusual design and identity for Victorinox Swiss Army; with the third counter taking position at 6 o’clock and accommodating the date display. A grid like design encompasses the dial, which is framed by the bold tachymeter and interrupted with the contrasting smooth counters giving the dial an interesting appearance.
To compliment the design the champagne coloured dial makes a bold, eye catching statement. The silver markings, limited numbering with only 3 and 9 stated, logo at 12 o’clock and hands are clearly visible against the matte gold background. In particular, the red seconds hand stands out to avoid becoming lost in a busy watch face. An alternative variant is the dark grey background and tachymeter for a more discreet edition of the Victorinox Swiss Army Chrono Classic. Choose from the champagne dial with a tan leather strap or steel bracelet (with a double locked safety clasp) or the grey dial with a black leather strap or steel bracelet depending on your personal style. The 41mm diameter of the dial allows room for all features and the 100m water resistance adds to the practical side of the timepiece.
