Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2015 Watch Review
Tuesday - 25 November 2014
The new Tissot watches will be launched in the new year and pay tribute to its role as Official Timekeeper of MotoGP since 2001. The collection includes a mechanical version limited to 3,333 pieces, and a quartz model limited to 8,888 pieces.
The MotoGP watches have been given a fresh new look, with an angular edge to the case design and pushers shaped like bike foot rests. The bracelet's attachment is inspired by back suspension rods, while dynamic GT stripes add to the sporty look of the timepieces. Both models also feature a magnified date display.
"Tissot is proud of its strong association with MotoGP," said François Thiébaud, President of Tissot. "The innovative and dynamic nature of the sport matches Tissot’s spirit perfectly. We both strive to enhance technology to provide better performances time after time. The latest exclusive timepiece dedicated to MotoGP, not only celebrates this alliance through the motorbike features such as the brake-disc bezel, but also a precision that matches that of our timekeeping. As the sport evolves and timing gets tougher, we keep up-to-date with all the latest technologies to provide the utmost accuracy as does everyone involved in MotoGP races."
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, added: "Tissot is one of our most trusted and long term partners of the MotoGP World Championship and once again they have produced an exclusive range of watches which perfectly match the precision and cutting edge nature of Grand Prix racing. We are delighted to see the new models and we are sure that our fans throughout the world will be quick to embrace next year’s Official MotoGP watch collection."
The Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2015 watches were revealed on the eve of the last race of the 2014 MotoGP season, in Valencia, Spain. Tissot ambassadors Nicky Hayden, Stefan Bradl and Thomas Lüthi also received their new personalised limited edition watches at the event.
