Bremont has paid tribute to the 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines with an exclusive limited edition watch, only available to serving and retired Royal Marines.
The Limited Edition Bremont Royal Marines Commando is limited to 350 pieces, and the case back of each watch will be hand engraved with the recipient's service number. A limited number of timepieces will also be donated to auction, with all proceeds going to the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
The watch is based on the Bremont S500, with a custom dial featuring the words 'Royal Marines Commando' in red and Corps colours at 6 o'clock. The Corps' crest and Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife are engraved on the stainless steel case back.
The Bremont Royal Marines Commando watch is powered by the modified calibre 13 1/4” BE-36AE automatic movement with 38 hours power reserve. It has a 43 mm hardened stainless steel case with Trip-Tick case construction, and an automatic helium escape valve. The movement is protected by an inner soft-iron anti-magnetic Faraday cage.
"The Royal Marines' ethos, values and reputation mixed with some iconic imagery have served to inspire the subtle design features of this watch," Bremont explains. "The Royal Marines are known for pushing just a bit further, and in typical Bremont style this has been mirrored by testing beyond the normal 500 metres to 507 metres, or 1,664 feet, in recognition of the birth date of the Corps."
