Synonymous with fashion, style and quality, our Leeds-based W. Hamond boutique in Victoria Quarter launched a successful evening celebrating the newest developments from prestigious Swiss Watchmakers, Oris.
The watch club event which took place in the evening of June 4th, provided a unique opportunity for watch enthusiasts to visit our watch shop for an exclusive preview of the brand’s delights, fresh from Baselworld 2015. Our dedicated staff with a genuine interest in the world of finest quality, mechanical watch engineering, endeavoured to entertain guests travelling from far and wide with a selection of wines and snacks whilst they mused and marvelled over the stunning selection of new breeds from the iconic brand. Visitors were encouraged to bring their favourite Oris timepiece to the event in order to share their love and passion for such beautiful instruments, whilst swopping and sharing the “trying-on” experience with the latest supreme additions. Whilst the evening got under way and our Oris representatives warmed the atmosphere with talks of their favourite elements to these pure, distinct time-keeping engines, others soon joined in with the culture, sharing advice and sentiments among fellow adorers.
Among the unique and extensive range on preview that night, Oris representatives were taken aback by an extraordinarily rare limited edition timepiece presented by one guest believed to be one of only five lucky owners. The Louis Armstrong edition was produced in the year 2000 to commemorate the King of Jazz, famous for creating trumpet solos and popularising the use of scat.
