These features still include the Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, together with triangular markers in between, which nod to the earliest Superocean watches. Now the collection offers sizes in 36, 42, 44 and 46mm and features the Breitling 17 movement. Some of the newest models of the collection can even withstand depths of 2000 meters underwater!

The new Breitling Superocean Automatic 46 Code Yellow watch measures a 46mm diameter and is topped with a strong, cambered piece of sapphire crystal glass, which has received anti-reflective treatment on both sides to improve legibility. Underneath the sapphire glass top is the vivid yellow dial with the familiar Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 6. 9 and 12 o’clock. The luminous-coated hands that you see at the centre of the dial along with the red-tipped second hand, are all propelled by the calibre Breitling 17, which sits inside the case’s 300-meter water-resistant housing. The movement performs at a rate of 28 800 vibrations per hour and delivers an autonomy of 38 hours once fully wound. 

As aforementioned, the Superocean 46 watches, including this new vivid Code Yellow design, come equipped with the patented bezel lock. It means that the black ceramic bezel cannot be accidentally knocked to extend dive time whilst you’re underwater. Instead, the bezel stays fixed, delivering legibility with its clear 60-minute dive scale.
