Welcoming the Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 Watch

The new Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 watch is hand-crafted from start to finish by experts at Tutima and boasts traditional Glashutte decoration upon its manually-wound movement, viewable through the back of the case

When it comes to sourcing a beautifully manufactured movement endowed with Glashutte elements through and through, Tutima is a great brand to consider. Deep-rooted horological traditions are kept alive in the models from the Patria watch collection. After all, Tutima watches are renowned for being noble, precious and incredibly beautiful, not to mention refined, but in particular, its Patria watches boast finely crafted dials and traditional techniques that were praised by aficionados over 100 years ago. The new Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 is one of the latest examples of such a timepiece. Some models from the Patria watch collection are powered by the Calibre 619 such as the Patria Dual Time, whilst others like this new addition to the line are equipped with the Calibre 617.

Lovingly manufactured down to the finest details, the new Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 watch is both reserved and elegant in design. It displays the hours and minutes on the centre of the dial, whilst the seconds are displayed in a small sub-counter located at 6 o’clock. The dial layout is a common one, yet the Tutima Patria watch offers something incredibly opulent and beautiful. The proportions within the dial, including the length of the arrow tip seen in both the minute and hour hand and the Tutima logo located at 12 o’clock are all carefully considered to provide the wearer with an enjoyable and remarkably elegant surface to read the time from. If you consider yourself a Tutima connoisseur, however, you will already expect the remarkable craftsmanship and technology of the Patria watch to be hidden behind its well-executed dial, and you’d be right in thinking so.

Gold screw-mounted chatons and elegantly applied Glashutte decoration are just two elements that elevate the workmanship behind the Tutima Patria collection to the higher-priced segment of the market. You get a sense of exclusivity in the remarkable attention to detail carried out in the design of the movement, which can be admired via a crisp sapphire-backed case. The Tutima Patria Small Second watch is a 43mm model crafted from 18ct rose gold. The blush pink tones of the case pair beautifully with the deep blue hue of the dial. A minimalistic approach to timekeeping is celebrated in the design of the Tutima Patria Small Second watch. The rose gold arrow-tipped central hands glide over the Tutima Glashutte name under the 12 o’clock location, whilst the matching golden stick markers look understated and modest. The small second hand matches the colour and profile of the main hour and minute hands and the entire dial is surrounded by a stunning polished 18ct rose gold bezel.

The 50-meter water-resistant case of the new Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 watch holds the beating heart to the timepiece. The manual winding Calibre Tutima 617 has 20 jewels, 3 of which are set with screw-mounted gold chatons, and index-free oscillating system with Breguet hairspring, a Glashütte three-quarter-plate, a screw balance with weighted screws and an open-worked balance cock. The decoration of the crown and ratchet wheels with an iridescent sunburst detail is yet another highlight to admire through the watch’s sapphire crystal glass exhibition feature. In addition to this, the heads of all screws have been polished according to vintage company tradition. The Calibre 617 oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 65-hour power reserve once fully wound.

To finish its elegant design, the new Tutima Patria Small Second 6600-03 watch is fitted on a dark blue alligator leather strap, securing to the wrist with an 18ct rose gold pin buckle.
