The Summer-Ready Gucci Dive Watches for 2023
Tuesday - 04 July 2023
Three new Gucci Dive watches, powered by automatic movements and designed in eye-catching bold colours, feature the iconic Bee House motif on their dials and come in a choice of steel or striped Gucci Web rubber bands.
Gucci has been around since the 20th century but only in recent years has it been taking its approach to luxury watchmaking seriously. The Fashion House first got into the watch game in the 1990s and has evolved its offering to appeal to quite an impressive and broad audience since then. Amongst its men’s Gucci watch collection is a superb range of dive watches that you can either take down to impressive underwater depths with you or enjoy as a bit of a statement piece. Of course, Gucci has been more widely recognised for its bold and iconic jewellery range and leather goods, including its unisex designs that ooze style and credibility, but that doesn’t mean to say that over recent years the brand hasn’t been upping its game in other areas, like watchmaking. The Gucci Dive watch range is developed from quality materials and fitted with automatic movements that can certainly hold their own against rival brands in the current market.
As their name suggests, Gucci Dive watches are tools for underwater exploration, but you may not be wanting to add a dive watch from Gucci to your collection for this reason alone. They all have an unmistakable style, fortified by plenty of use of bold colour and a masculine aesthetic that creates a huge wrist presence. Take, for example, three new releases from Gucci that have recently joined the line-up. One with a vibrant orange dial (probably the most iconic colour associated with luxury dive watches in the entire history of watchmaking), one with a grey dial and a colourful blue and brown striped rubber strap, and one with a grey dial and a turquoise and orange striped rubber strap. All three models belong to Gucci’s innovative dive watch collection and offer values of robustness, reliability and superior water resistance.
If you’ve been eyeing-up Gucci’s range of dive watches recently, you’ll note that there are several appealing designs within this collection. You can go classic with a black and steel model from the range, adorned with red and green decoration above the 6 o’clock location (the only pop of colour on the design), or you could opt for the black dial on a red and green material strap – again – key colours associated with the House of Gucci. If you wanted something a little more “out there”, you could opt for the Gucci Dive black snake dial, sporting the iconic snake motif across its surface. The creature, neither an ancestral enemy or villain to be feared, is celebrated for its beauty and majestic allure throughout Gucci’s designs. The snake motif on the dial is accompanied by highly luminous hour markers and hands and is fitted on a robust stainless steel bracelet. You can even find the Gucci Dive watch design in a striking white dial with a tiger design emblazoned upon its dial surface. The Gucci House colours of green and red are used again in its design, highlighting the first 25 minutes of the diving scale in the bezel.
The new Gucci Dive watches
Moreover, we wanted to show you the latest Gucci Dive watches to entire our online collection here at Jura Watches. All three models are powered by an automatic movement and have the three-handed dial design that foregoes the date feature. Simple yet powerful, these dive watches are a symbol of Gucci’s evolving watchmaking expertise and each adds a strong dash of colour to the wrist.
The first of the three models is the Gucci Dive Watch reference YA136355 which sees an emblematic House code feature at the top of the dial. The iconic bee motif sits with pride at the top of the dial below the 12 o’clock location. The subtle detail at the top of the design is set against a vibrant orange dial adorned with diamond-like hour markers and skeletonised central hour and minute hands. Water resistant to 300 meters, this bright orange Gucci Dive watch is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel in steel and a matching stainless steel bracelet to complete its rugged dive-ready look. The links on the steel bracelet are executed in a mix of brushed and polished finishes and enclose against the wrist with a folding clasp engraved with the Gucci name.
The next model we’re looking at today is the Gucci Dive Watch reference YA136352 – another new arrival that presents itself in a bold colour palette. It features a grey dial with luminescent markers and hands along with a red central second hand. The watch is crafted from stainless steel and measures a 40mm diameter, along with a closed caseback and a screw-down crown. The piece of sapphire crystal glass positioned on the front of the watch is designed to protect the surface of the dial from scratching, denting, dust, moisture, light and heat and also has anti-reflective properties that grant a clear view into the dial at all times. The new Gucci Dive watch, with a 300-meter water resistance, features the striped Web pattern on its strap in tones of blue and brown, and the bee motif at 12 o’clock. The automatic movement fitted to the heart of this watch and the other two releases provides a power reserve of 38 hours once fully wound.
The third and final Gucci Dive watch we wanted to introduce you to in this article is the reference YA136352. Its silver dial and complimenting steel unidirectional rotating bezel - designed to rotate only in the counterclockwise direction - create the perfect contrast for a vibrant Gucci Web strap – this time presented in shades of green and orange. The model looks decidedly sportier than the other two new releases but still features the same bee motif at 12 o’clock, as well as the diamond-shaped hour markers. This 40mm model features a vibrant orange second hand that compliments the orange central stripe running down the middle of its green striped rubber strap.
Perfect for exploring the coasts this summer but equally just as stylish to wear as a statement piece, these three new Gucci Dive watches can be explored in more detail here, or you can call and speak to our Jura Watches sales team today on 01335 453453.
