The Jura Watches 2025 Gift Guide
Sunday - 09 February 2025

A guide to some of the best watches for gifts in 2025, curated by Jura Watches’ team of specialists.
Keeping up with the latest watch news is a full-time job. Whether you’re looking to add a new timepiece to your collection or love keeping up to date with the latest releases from world-leading brands, keeping in the know is crucial. Sometimes that might be in the form of reading daily news articles, perusing our style guides here at Jura Watches or contributing to forums. Our team of watch enthusiasts are continually following all the industry’s latest luxury watch news and releases, which puts us in great stead for creating useful resources like this – the Jura Watches 2025 Gift Guide.
We’ve grouped together a small handful of what we think were some of the most noteworthy additions to the watch industry in 2024 and compiled them into a guide. Of course, this is not an extensive list and it doesn’t cover absolutely everything that went down in 2024. Some of the watch designs that dominated the market and defined 2024 include the likes of the IWC Portugieser, for example - an elegant and highly sophisticated timepiece that won’t require a date adjustment for 4000 years, or the Coke version of the TUDOR Black Bay GMT.
It would also be sacrilege not to mention the hugely anticipated Cubitus release from Patek Philippe, or the Breitling Perpetual Calendar designs that marked the brand’s 140th anniversary. These special picks today, however, are the GADA (go-anywhere-do-anything) type, proving to be both functional investments and practical too. And I have to say, some of them exercise a great breadth of colour, ensuring they’ll get noticed on the wrist no matter what you wear them with or what occasion you wear them to. Let’s kick things off with a brand renowned for its dancing diamonds concept, Chopard.
Chopard Watch Happy Sport Ladies 278573-3014
If you take a quick glance at the Happy Sport watch, you could be fooled into thinking the design is a rather modern one. But the first Happy Sports watch actually emerged in the 1990s and has been gracing the wrists of sporty, confident women ever since. This Chopard Happy Sports watch embraces an eye-catching mix of moving diamonds and robust stainless steel, creating a sophisticated yet sporty-esque style. In these designs, round brilliant cut diamonds suspended in between two pieces of sapphire are free to roam and float above the surface of the dial creating the impression that they’re dancing gracefully under the light. This model is a 30mm lady’s steel timepiece with a silver Roman numeral dial and five dancing diamonds that move freely in between a diamond-set bezel. The monochromatic design is a balance of sporty and dressy, constituting the perfect watch to take you from the boardroom to the cocktail lounge. The Chopard Happy Sport watch elevates its dressy aesthetic with a matching stainless steel link bracelet and is powered by an automatic movement put on show behind a sapphire exhibition caseback.
IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 Green IW328903
The Ingenieur is always the watch we instantly think about when we talk about the Schaffhausen-based watchmaker’s classic cockpit tools, but this dive watch collection continually grows and evolves as the years continue, deserving a lot more attention than it gets. IWC watches are not extortionately priced and you get a lot for your money. The watchmaker uses a selection of superior materials to craft the Ingenieur models and fits them with in-house movements to elevate their exclusivity and luxury appeal all the more. Last year, IWC Schaffhausen released a deep and dramatic Aqua dial that evokes the rippling waters of the underwater universe. Textures and gradients within the dial create nuances that draw the eye into the details of the display, including the simple, legible Super-LumiNova hands as stick hour markers and the crisp IWC lettering at 12 o’clock. IWC also equips this watch with an independently crafted automatic movement and integrates the case with a 100-meter water-resistant rating for wearing every day of the week.
Breitling Watch Chronomat B01 42 PB0134101C1S2
Light blue is a dial colour we are seeing more and more of. And if there is one brand that continually stays ahead of trends, it’s Breitling. If you’re looking for a new daily beater and you care about values of accuracy performance and durability, the Breitling Chronomat could be the next timepiece for you. The brand uses supreme materials to craft its chronographs – a complication that Breiling led the way forward with during the 1960s and 1970s. The Chronomat collection itself has bucketloads of appeal and history, too. What many people don’t realise is that the Chronomat came before the Navitimer and actually bore the famous slide rule bezel, which the Navitimer later adopted. This ice blue dial colour, however, packs a punch with its contrasting box-filled chronograph dials. The coloured panda dial is combined with a state-of-the-art in-house developed chronometer-certified calibre and features a supple black rubber band for everyday use.
TAG Heuer Watch Carrera Date WBN2313.BA0001
The TAG Heuer Carrera Pink is one for the ladies, delivering a vibrant pop of hot pink colour across its 36mm proportions. The steel sports watch is perfect for athletes, sports-goers and active women with its robust case and legible dial. The hands and hour markers have received a layer of Super-LumiNova materials across its dial details for easy legibility, and all features, including the date window at 6 o’clock and readable double index at 12 o’clock are protected by a sapphire crystal glass front with anti-glare and scratch-resistant qualities. This sporty women’s Carrera watch will make a perfect gift for those who like their watches to get noticed and features a robust steel bracelet and a 100M water-resistant rating, too.
Bremont Watch Supermarine 300M Green Rubber SM40-ND-SS-GN-R-S
Bremont has undergone some big changes over the past twelve months, all for the better, however. And this green Supermarine watch is a perfect example of what came of those new shifts. Under a new creative direction, Bremont watches have now been re-categorised, and you will now start seeing the new Wayfinder logo stamped to their dials. This Supermarine Green watch, however, is a GMT complication too, so it’s perfect for travelling for leisure or work commitments. The moss green coloured dial is a shade darker than the unidirectional bezel, while the green rubber strap, embossed with the Bremont name gives this dive watch a cool tool-like aesthetic.
Maurice Lacroix Watch Pontos S Diver Limited Edition PT6248-BRZ01-330-3
Looking for something with collectability status? The limited edition Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver feels exclusive and rare with its vintage-inspired nods and limited edition number engraved into the back of its 42mm bronze case. This is a superb rendition of the Pontos S Diver with its prominent pistol push-piece at 2 o’clock for activating the internal diving scale and its ribbed crown for easy handling. What certainly enhances the overall retro-esque look of this Maurice Lacroix dive watch, however, is its premium calf leather strap with contrast stitching in cream that runs down the edges and the Maurice Lacroix logo in bronze stamped to its surface.
