TAG Heuer Unveils Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour Watches
Tuesday - 04 April 2023
TAG Heuer has released a new Aquaracer Professional 200 watch in a bi-colour case design crafted from stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold or 18ct rose gold. The new two-toned Aquaracer Professional 200 watches for 2023 are available in two case sizes and are powered by the Calibre 9 and Calibre 5 movements for unhindered performance
The Aquaracer watch collection has long been TAG Heuer’s line of versatile and sporty dive watches that are good for perhaps every kind of challenge. Since receiving a major overhaul back in 2020, the watch was renamed the Aquaracer Professional but still lacked a movement made in-house by TAG Heuer experts. Now all that’s about to change with the new all-gold Aquaracer Professional 200 watches. Yet the stainless steel and 18ct rose gold or yellow gold bi-colour models, released alongside these, are just as eye-catching and are powered by the Calibre 9 and Calibre 5 movements. They come in two case sizes of 40mm for men and 30mm for women.
When the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 watch was downsized from a beefy 43mm to a 40mm, it was a great thing. Fans of the popular line could now enjoy a watch with more manageable dimensions. This year, TAG expands its efforts in making wristwatches that are suited to all sizes. Designed in the same way as the other 40mm Aquaracer Professional 200 watches, the cases of these four models boast modern angles with polished chamfers that run the entire length of each case side, with diamonds adorning the feminine versions and classic batons adorning the male 40mm versions. These designs are the first bi-colour options available in the reborn collection and communicate a new urban personality on the wrist.
The first bi-colour Aquaracer Professional watches
The high-end sports watch concept has been the focus of TAG Heuer for the last three years, where experts have gone above and beyond to create an all-purpose luxury sports watch that is just as useful under the water as it is on dry land. As a result, the Swiss watchmaker reinvented the watch, creating an all-terrain timepiece for the wrists of those who like to push the boundaries. Each of the models, whether the smaller 30mm version or the broader 40mm option of the Professional 200 series features a stainless steel case topped with an 18ct gold bezel inlay and crown engraved with the TAG Heuer logo. Having fine-tuned every detail of the new TAG Heuer Professional 200 watches for 2023, these designs are created with comfort in mind. As a result of their manageable 40mm and 30mm case proportions, these Aquaracer watches for men and women are lightweight on the wrist. Despite this, the new Aquaracer Professional 200 watches create exceptional wrist presence and are hugely versatile with their commanding silhouettes and chiselled dodecagonal-shaped bezels.
Whether you’re slipping the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 bi-colour watch under a buttoned shirt at work or wearing it for a spot of snorkelling whilst on vacation, the handsome colourways of these two 40mm and 30mm models are perfect for wearing anywhere and for anything. The deep blue model, offered in both sizes, is fitted with a stunning 18ct yellow gold bezel marked with a 60-minute scale engraved and sandblasted into its surface. The black version, also available in both sizes, is paired with an indulgent 18ct rose gold bezel. The unidirectional rotating bezels are designed to move in the counter-clockwise direction only, as a safety precaution for those wanting to dive with the watch. Seen in many dive watches and present in all the Aquaracer dive watches by TAG Heuer, these bezels cannot be accidentally extended whilst wearing heavy diving gear, ensuring that dive time is strictly adhered to.
The 18ct yellow gold and 18ct rose gold bezels of these models embrace both the blue and black dials executed in a captivating fume effect, meaning that they fade towards the centre and darken in a gradient effect around their edges. The design concept was chosen as a reflection of the way that light fades towards the end of the day. Although perfect for those with an adventurous spirit, the overall style of these new steel and gold Aquaracer Professional 200 watches is one of sophistication and refinement. The hands and hour markers on the dial of these models are matched to the golden shades of the case with a luxurious 18ct gold plating in either rose gold or yellow gold. Adding a chic twist to the female versions, the black and blue 30mm options have hour tracks represented by 11 Top Wesselton diamonds. The dials all feature a date window placed upon a horizontally striped dial pattern at 6 o’clock. This new generation of Aquaracer watches by TAG Heuer is now powered by the Calibre 9 for the men’s versions and the Calibre 5 for the women’s watches. The COSC-certified Calibre 9 is based on the Selita SW1000-1 and produces a power reserve of 40 hours, whilst the Calibre 5 is based on the ETA 2824-2 movement, producing a 42-hour power reserve.
Both the 30mm blue TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 watch reference WBP2450.FT6215 and the black version reference WBP2451.FT6200 are fitted on respective blue and black rubber bands with a stainless steel folding clasp and a double safety push button with a comfort link extension system. The 40mm Blue TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional watch reference WBP2150.FT6210 and black version reference WBP2151.FT6199 are also fitted with the same band and all models promise a water resistance of 200 meters.
